The Barcelona-Madrid connection via Vigo is here. The new Tempesta Music release is signed by the unclassifiable Roty340, Galician producer based in the Spanish capital. His Tzootz Seraphic Ep brings his personal magic touch to the Barcelona label, with a clubby sound that moves away from the pressures and rules of the dance floor seeking for new textures, tones and atypical flavors.
Roty340 is the most popular pseudonym of the prolific producer born in Vigo, which is also known under other names such as Blasco Etchegaray, Fabiu $$ or Sirimiki de la Menardier. Conflicts of personality? Absolutely not!. For Roty340 the search for challenge and experimentation through the simultaneity of projects is a constant. From its beginnings back in 1996, Roty340 has wandered the paths of the avant-garde, investigating in the musical creation process to achieve an increasingly mature and personal sound. His more remarkable release is the saga "Global Volume" in its 2 volumes, from 1999 and 2002 respectively; the white Delicatessen vinyl, edited by Superego in 2001, which had important sales in Japan, and the album Tzootz Exterminio Mental from 2004, leaving a deep footmark in the history of Spanish electronica.
It was in 2005 when he became involved in the audiovisual world. Highlighting are the creation of the soundtrack for the graffitti documentary, "Aerosol", nominated for the Goya prize for best short documentary in 2005. Also the production of several pieces for the multi-award-winning documentary about the tragic life in Panama "One Dollar”, among many other compositions for Film and TV.
He has djed and played live nearly everywhere that matters, highlighting the FEM, SonarBarcelona, Siglo21-Radio3, CCCB, Circulo de Bellas Artes, La casa Encendida and a long list of gigs throughout the European geography.
Currently his compositions are a fusion of classical, electronic, avant-garde and soundtracks, with his roots on dub and hip hop. His current DJ sets are a mad and eclectic fusion of any possible sound or genre.
