Shadow Traxx is something really new. Outta Barcelona’s club scene guts, Shadow Traxx is an eclectic project, comprising three key names in the Spanish city, Kosmos, Oddzero and Ginebra, that elaborates something in between house and techno with disparate influences like Sheffield’s bleep sound or Metalheadz era drum’n’bass.
Rakim Ep is their first airing. Around a sample taken from that mythical MC, Shadow tracks build a strong track that lay on deep basslines, bulletproof beats, hypnotic melodic riffs and surprisingly effective tempo changes. That main track is remixed by Barcelona’s greatest Clip! and Brighton’s bass music kingpin Lockah.
